Dr. Mburugu P. Gitobu

Mr. P.G Mburugu is a consultant Urological Surgeon at the Aga Khan University Hospital and Kenyatta National Hospital. He obtained his MBChB from the University of Nairobi in 1993.

He did his internship at the Meru District Hospital, and then worked at the Tigania Mission Hospital before going back to the University of Nairobi for his MMed course in surgery in 1996.

He qualified in 2000, and worked at the K.N.H before proceeding to the UK on a British Journal of Urology International/SocieteInternational d'Urologie scholarship to sub-specialise in Urology in 2003.

Whilst there he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Urology, as well as the Fellowship of the European Board for Urology. He is also a Foundation COSECA fellow. He has particular interest in Endourology, Laparoscopic Urology Surgery, Prostate and Bladder Cancer as well as stone surgery. He was elected vice Chairman of the Kenya Association of Urological Surgeons in 2013, and is also an Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
